The rules keep changing, and we like that.  Because it means the possibilities keep changing, too.  We’re all about doing great stuff for very little money, keeping up with all of the amazing new filmmaking technologies that are rolling out, and adapting to the interesting ways people find and consume content these days.

Our name refers to bourbon, not a forest fire.  We like bourbon a lot, forest fires...not so much.  We’re proudly based in Brooklyn.  Three of us originally hail from Oklahoma, so the other one has to suffer through a lot of “old stories.”  We believe that magic, although rare, is completely real.

We love to make stuff:  Movies, music videos, Web series, even commercials.  Check out our upcoming projects and you’ll see we have some pretty ambitious plans...but we’d also love to make stuff for you!  Charred Oak can create, develop, and produce a variety of branded content.  We have a broad set of creative and production skills that can be deployed to write, shoot, and manage all kinds of things.
